Laddie Howard is an unlikely artist.  He moved to Columbia, SC after completing his undergraduate degree at SC State University to attend the USC School of Law.  After getting his J.D. degree and passing the Bar in 1996 he began his career as a Governmental Affairs specialist and local government attorney.  He is deeply rooted in the business and political fabric of Columbia and South Carolina.  He is married to the most beautiful and patient woman in the world (Stacy) and has two incredibly gifted and interesting children (Satchel (25) and Mason (21).  It was both his family and his life as an entrepreneur that revealed his artistic side and he is an “unlikely artist” because of how it came to expression in 2016 and because his life path started off very traditional.  But it is safe to say now though, that he has carved out a place for himself in the world of leather artistry where, as both a designer and maker, very few others share the space with him.  Completely “self taught”, he designs luxury leather travel bags and accessories that are very unique.  Each piece he makes is designed and handmade by him in his Columbia home/ studio and bears the name of a family member that he honors with each original design.
